Announcing the Version 1.8 Software Release

If you’re an existing Theme Park Waits customer, this is a free software upgrade that does one thing: increase reliability in areas with spotty internet or WiFi.

Sometimes the LED display goes blank when the server connection drops or the network hiccups. Until now the only fix was to power cycle the device. Version 1.8 keeps trying to reconnect, adds extra error protection, and logs diagnostic data when something does go wrong.

You also get display and control page improvements.

How to Upgrade

Navigate to http://themeparkwaits.local/settings.html and follow the upgrade instructions. The process takes 2–10 minutes depending on your connection speed.
